Another Android version loses update support for Google Chrome!

Ana sayfa / Android

Smartphone manufacturers regularly release new software updates for their models. While this ensures that the device remains technologically up-to-date, it also brings about a process that progresses over time to a point where support is discontinued.

In this case, update support for many applications is discontinued. Finally, it was announced that Google Chrome will no longer receive updates on an old Android version. Here are the details…

Technology giant Google made an announcement a few days ago that upset those using Android 7 Nougat . They announced that the calendar app will not be supported for this version. Following this decision, Google Chrome recently faced a similar situation.

According to the announcement made by the company , the minimum operating system requirement of Google Chrome will be increased to Android 8.0 as of the beginning of next year. This means Android 7.0 Nougat  users will no longer receive Google Chrome updates.

Google is in chaos as user data suddenly disappeared

Google Drive users claim their data has disappeared. Thousands of files in cloud storage have disappeared.

The current version of Google Chrome is 119. Version 120 will be released in the first weeks of next year. However,  Android 7.0 Nougat  users will not be able to get this version. So  they will continue to use Google Chrome  version 119. Therefore, they will not be able to access new features.

The message Google added to its support page regarding this issue is as follows:

“ The latest version of Chrome to support Android Nougat is Chrome 119, and a message has been delivered to affected users informing them to upgrade their operating system. Chrome 120 will not support and will not ship to users running Android Nougat.
